50 years of environmental policy
Side event at Stockholm+50: 3 June 2022
9:00 to 10:15 | Room 3
Stakeholder Forum and FoRUM Norway held an in-person Side Event at Stockholm+50. Watch the replay on FoRUM’s Facebook page.
Original event description: At Stockholm+50 in June, we hosted a side event where a variety of speakers (scientists) involved in the Legacy themes of UNEP (governance, law, MEAs, education, civil society input, environmental rights, etc.) gave an overview of 50 years of environmental policies and law. This is based on a series of webinars we organised on these 7 different topics. We will also launch the ‘People’s Environmental Narrative’ (see above), which compiles the outcomes of different Stockholm+50 related events including 2 important online events engaging with civil society on these Legacy Themes.
The People’s Environmental Narrative global stakeholder consultations, 18 and 19 May 2022
‘The Peoples Environmental Narrative’ was a global 2-day online consultation open to all representatives of non-state stakeholders from all regions of the world. On 18 and 19 May 2022, from 4 PM to 8 PM CET (10 AM to 2 PM EDT), this global consultation gathered stakeholder input relevant to the official themes of the Stockholm+50 meeting, and to the wider environmental agenda and the fulfilment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to achieve a sustainable future for all.
Full agenda and more information is on our ‘What else is on?’ page.
